childhood, Fall 04 prints and colors reflect autumnal
landscapes, camp-weekends and an earthy, natural spirit.
Creative combinations of sketch and collage find their
way into embroidery and appliqué-like boundary
lines on a worn antique map. Hand stitching,
appliquéd elements and mossy bouclés give
the texture and feel of cherished hand-me-downs. A
button-floral pattern for girls presents an ad hoc
combination of simple blossoms, multi-colored buttons and
tiny treasures - as if mother's button jar were
overturned. For boys, images from nature and the forest
inspire rhythmic stripes and prints. Mixed sized buttons
and practical zippers lift simple styling to an elegant
yet functional level. Comfortable, cozy, clean new
silhouettes with updated proportions and quirky detailing
complete this rich and well-grounded collection.
Making up the Fall 04 palette are a
landscape of rich hues, paying homage to Mother Nature
herself. Deep but muted, earthy tones of November skies
and forest floors invoke a soft, homely feel. Flashes of
rich brights inject an element of surprise. Faded tones
of rose, yam, blue haze and smoke, contrast with the rich
darks of burgundy, mulberry, moss and Indigo blue. Unique
color groups for both Fall 2004 deliveries will
complement and interact with each other for original
styling all throughout the long winter.

texture and composition to date, this fall's Collectibles
textiles emphasize high comfort and warmth while
elegantly complementing the color and design of the
entire line. Ultra-soft, brushed, faded and washed
fabrics, combined with the unique detail of delicate
embroidery and appliqué, create nostalgic styling
