Launch of Lulah Cashmere: Ultra-Hip, Ultra-Lux Cashmere for Babies

(Santa Monica, CA; March 1, 2004) Santa Monica-based designer Amber Hagen today announces the launch of Lulah Cashmere, an ultra-hip, ultra-lux line of cashmere baby sweaters and blankets aimed at stylish moms of babies who have everything, yet still need something special for that very important play date.

The Lulah Cashmere line, which will debut at the L.A., New York, San Francisco and Denver children's shows in March and April, will be available in upscale baby boutiques and online at lulah.com by late summer 2004. With a fresh take on what it means to dress baby, pieces include a pink cashmere blanket with Japanese "love" symbol knit in red velvet chenille, a peace sign sweater and coordinating dove with olive branch blanket, a retro creamsicle sweater with coordinating orange twinpop blanket, and other unique designs. The line stays true to childhood fun with its whimsical designs but is interpreted in a sophisticated, almost grown up, color palette. All pieces are knit in two-ply premium cashmere usually reserved for adult sweaters, with designs and borders knit in lush velvety chenille.

"We're excited to fill a void in the marketplace by offering a baby line that is as hip and fresh as it is luxurious," says Lulah founder and designer, Amber Hagen. "Celeb moms and career girls alike all want something unique for their babies and we're definitely answering that call."

L.A. is familiar with Amber Hagen's designs from her popular handknit line launched last year at the exclusive Hotel Bel-Air. The fall 2004 Lulah Cashmere line will be the first line from Amber Hagen available nationwide and has been generating buzz on both coasts even before its launch.
