(Toms River, NJ; May 7,
2003) Reversible Means Versatile
and Value! This
Mix and Match Collection Can be Creatively Combined to
Fashion an Almost Endless Wardrobe of Outfits for Infants
and Toddlers
Emerging children's wear designer
Patty Baiano, announces the creation of a fun new line of
infant and toddler apparel in sizes 12m-4T. Butterfly
Kisses PRIVATE COLLECTION is a fresh new concept in
children's boutique clothing offering lines of
reversible, coordinated separates that can be mixed and
matched to create entire wardrobes from just a few
pieces. The spring '04 collection will debut to boutiques
on August 1, 2003 and can be previewed on the designer's
website at www.ButterflyKisses.net.
What makes this line so much fun for
kids and such a great value for adults is the fact that
most pieces can be reversed to create totally different
looks. Three pieces from a collection can be combined to
create over ten different outfits, that's a great way to
stretch a dollar. Even the accessories are versatile and
can be tailored to create different looks. A straw hat
with a coordinating band and silk flower can also be worn
as just a headband with or without the flower, or as a
simple flower barrette.
Butterfly Kisses PRIVATE COLLECTION
designer Patty Baiano entered the children's wear
industry two years ago by creating custom made sweaters,
dresses, and accessories for her daughter, Ariel.
"Wherever I would take my daughter, people would stop me
to ask where I bought her clothes," says Patty. "People
would comment that they were most attracted to the
quality of fabric and the original combination of styles
and prints. Everyone also loved the fact that the
garments were reversible. It's like having an emergency
clean outfit with you all the time."
Patty graduated from the School of
Visual Arts in NYC in 1987 with a degree in Illustration
but her love has always been with clothing design. The
pride that this designer takes in her clothing line is
what makes it so special. "I design each and every piece
in my collections from concept to finished product," says
Patty. "I draw all sketches, choose all fabrics, make all
patterns and sew all samples. I think in these tense
political times consumers really like knowing that they
are supporting true Made in America products."
Butterfly Kisses collections are
characterized by classic shabby-chic and vintage European
flair prints. Pieces have simple lines and a reversible,
mix-and-match versatility that appeals to both children
and adults. There are six pieces in the debut spring '04
collection with two color palettes to choose from. The
lines also include additional coordinating accessories
such as hats, headscarves, and hair bands. Butterfly
Kisses will be sold exclusively in select boutiques
across the US and retail prices will range from $8 - $89.
