MamaOm,
a Mommy and Me Boutique Collection with a Green Sense of
Style Launched at Recent Children'
Club
(Miami, FL; October 27,
2008)
MamaOm,
a mommy and me boutique line specializing in eco-friendly
apparel, accessories and beachwear, launched its first
collection at ENK Children's Club in New York, October
5-7, 2008. The collection is a reflection of the
company's founder, Maria Fernanda Florido, an
environmentalist with a keen sense of style. The
collection embodies casual elegance and whimsy &endash;
giving moms stylish, sexy items that aren't a mirror
image of their daughters' cute renditions. The collection
ties moms and daughters with a consistent theme or
design, but respects the age of the wearer.
Trying always to
share her sense of style and love for the environment,
Florido got tired of looking for the perfect Mommy and Me
outfits, none of which combined style, comfort, and
eco-friendliness. So she decided to design her own. When
she wore her first designs she was blown away by the
response and decided it was time to offer her designs to
the market. "Finding cute and trendy mommy and me outfits
is hard. Most of what was available on the market was not
age appropriate for the mother or the daughter. Mommy and
Me clothing had no sense of style, or trend. And most
importantly there was nothing eco-friendly," says
Florido.
The company's
online boutique launched in April and has been a hit with
fashion and eco-conscious moms everywhere. The site
includes the full collection of casual fashion including
organic tee shirts, dresses and a line of accessories,
including a collection of handbags made from Damagua, the
bark of an amazon tree. And the company doesn't stop at
just being eco-friendly, they also go much further to do
their part for the environment by donating 4% of their
profits to the Yachana Foundation, an organization
devoted to enriching the lives of the people living in
the Amazon and to preserving the area's pristine
ecosystem.
MamaOm is dedicated
to providing customers with the best eco-friendly
products in the market - making organic clothing stylish,
affordable and comfortable. The company also strives to
provide a way to enrich the unique bond between mothers
and daughters through the sharing of a love of fashion
and the environment. For more information on MamaOm,
