2003) The way to a mother's heart is through her
memory! Founded in 1998, A Fresh Collection was
established through the vision of a mother who wished she
could remember the memory of holding her tiny newborn
forever. Out of these emotions evolved the design of a
soft fleece doll, shaped like a newborn, custom ordered
the length of the baby at birth with the baby's birth
information embroidered on the outfit.
This fall, A Fresh Collection owner
and entrepreneur, Kati Patterson, has launched a revamped
version of the previous doll. The new version has been
renamed the My
Baby Forever™ keepsake
doll. In addition to the new branding, the body of the
doll is being slightly re-vamped to make it even more
realistic and softer then the original doll. It arrives
with a cream gown, knotted cap, softer embroidery fonts,
and an optional matching blanket. Sizes range in half
inches from 17" to 23". Also being introduced is
optional packaging including a unique Peek-a-Boo Bag
which shows the sleeping face of the doll peeking out of
a netted circular window in the muslin gift bag.

innovative and the doll is practical in its application
as a keepsake doll for parents and grandparents and as a

explains, "We're working hard to establish the new
branding through our network of fine retailers, and due
to past catalog success, we plan to sell through another
catalog in 2004."

Baby Forever™ image doll is a 20" soft, fleece,
bouncing bundle of joy, made the shape of an infant
toddler with outstretched arms yearning to be held. An
image of the baby is transferred onto soft cotton and
hand-applied to the face of the doll. In an independent
focus group of 25 mothers evaluating the image doll,
survey results were 100% positive upon seeing, touching
and holding the doll . Their emotional response
increased significantly compared to seeing photos. "When
an image of the mother's own baby was applied, the
response became very emotional", says Ms. Patterson. "In
January, we will be offering a risk-free 'try and buy'
package of the new image doll to our stores who are best
sellers of the keepsake doll", explained Ms. Patterson.
