Jean
Vernor Appointed CEO of Saurette; Fall 2011 Prices
Reduced 30%
(New York; February 11,
2011) Saurette,
a contemporary collection for girls, is taking its brand
to the next level with two significant milestones. First,
it has appointed Jean Vernor as CEO, bringing strategic
marketing and business management expertise to the brand.
Second, it has significantly repriced the brand at 30%
less than prior seasons.
Vernor joins Saurette with an
impressive resume, including her most recent role as CEO
of Sculptz, the largest global, direct-to-consumer
legwear company. Prior to that, she was
President of GE Money's Partnership Marketing Group and
held other senior level marketing positions at both
private and public sector consumer products and services
businesses. Her strength is driving growth through
successful transformations, building partnerships and
strong management teams. She is a proven leader with a
track record of value creation, increasing the bottom
line and managing businesses to high
growth.
"The opportunity to build on
Saurette's solid foundation and grow the brand to the
next level is an exciting one for me. The quality of the
product, Lisa Kanouse's design sense and strong
background of developing successful lines at Saks
and Macy's are a winning combination," said
Vernor.
Saurette designer Lisa Kanouse
notes; "I am thrilled to have someone of Jean's caliber
joining us in building the brand. Her insight and
brand growth strategies are a perfect complement to my
creative vision. I think that Jean's partnership
along with our exciting new pricing structure for Fall
2011, are key elements to our growth. We've been
able to secure new prices that offer retailers the same
quality and design we are known for at significantly
lower prices in order to partner with them during these
tough economic times. Wholesale pricing will now range
from $12-$33. We are looking forward to
sharing all of the great news with our boutiques during
the upcoming markets.
Launched in March of 2009, Saurette
is known for its attention to detail including novelty
embroideries, beading and modern silhouettes that the
hippest moms are flocking to. Saurette has already
gained a celebrity following including Gwyneth Paltrow,
Busy Philips, Edie Falco, and Shirly Brener. The
collection has been featured in Daily Candy Kids,
Earnshaw's, Life & Style and Good Day LA.
