Luke
& Loolu Launches Exciting Line of Accessories for
Moms and Kids
(Seattle, WA; January,
2011) Luke
& Loolu has
launched a collection of accessories for creative kids
and moms in irresistible patterns. The eco-conscious
brand uses only Oeko-Tex Standard 100 fabric to create
eye-popping accessories such as aprons, smocks, bibs,
lunch bags, diaper clutches and more. All products are
produced in Seattle and are free of over 100 harmful
chemicals including lead, phthalates and BPA.
The line was introduced in the fall
of 2010 and consisted of five products; aprons, art
smocks, table top art mats, messenger bags and lunch
bags. The aprons come in several sizes that fit
preschoolers on up to adults. Luke & Loolu will be
adding several new products to the line early this year
such as diaper clutches, zip pouches, bibs, Comfy
Mats and wall decals. Though most current patterns
may appeal mainly to girls, several boy patterns will be
added early this year.
All products are made from Oeko-Tex
Standard 100 vinyl imported from Europe. This unique
fabric is a great fit for kids products because it makes
clean-up a breeze, just wipe clean. And the bold, modern
patterns, make Luke & Loolu products fun for moms and
kids.
Founded by Seattle mom and
designer, Ann Hurley and textile expert, Larry Clark,
Luke & Loolu was established to create safe, exciting
accessories for creative kids. "I was searching for a
coated fabric to create some aprons for my children, but
had a hard time finding safe coated fabrics that were
also visually appealing." says Ann. "Many were too cutesy
or completely too boring". When stumbling across textile
expert, Larry Clark, she found the perfect balance. A
safe fabric that was available in bold, fun patterns,
perfect for inspiring creativity in kids and even
moms.
