(New York; September 27, 2011) Anthropologie, the eclectic retailer known for its whimsical women's wear and diverse lifestyle finds has collaborated with the designer children's wear brand, kicokids. An exclusive capsule collection for girls aged 2-6, has been developed for a holiday season October/November 2011 launch. Tia Cibani, the founder and Creative Director of kicokids has been focusing on her children's wear collection full time since her departure from the designer women's wear brand Ports1961 in July of 2010. Over the previous six years, during which she launched and lead Ports1961, she had maintained kicokids as her labor of love. Her vision of kicokids never waivered. As the collaboration with Anthropologie demonstrates, kicokids is a collection inspired by nostalgia and the naiveté of childhood. To that basic theme elements of adventure and modernity have been contributed by Tia Cibani's creative and business partner, Shu Pu. The result, is a perfect fit to Anthropologie's well established sweet and retro spirit. Key items include a patchwork printed silk/wool full circle skirt with crinoline peeking from the hem, and a reversible padded pea coat in Lapis blue jersey and cotton velvet. The collection will be available online and in select stores across the United States. Visit www.anthropologie.com.
